Description

Grid Lotto is a lottery with a guaranteed cash payout for each draw. 25% of the proceeds of the ticket sales are distributed at each draw to 10 winning tickets. Each ticket holder gets 1/10th of that drawing's cash payout, paid in full. The other 75% of each drawing's proceeds, less administration fees, are divided equally to fund public school technology centers, healthcare and medicine for the elderly, and distributed pro-rata to each citizen 18 or older through individual Citizen Fund accounts.

Rules

• Up to 1 million tickets are sold for each drawing. Each ticket is numbered 1 to 1,000,000.
• Tickets are only sold online or via an app to Panamanian citizens aged 18 or older.
• Each drawing is televised live and broadcast online.

How It Works

• All tickets sold are numbered 1-1,000,000 and are assigned to an individual person with their Cedula #.
• On the night of the draw an electronic grid will be displayed. The grid will have 10 empty squares across and 10 empty squares deep. There will be a total of 100 squares. Each square will be numbered in the lower right corner 1-100, starting with the number 1 on the top left square and going left to right sequentially.
• A "randomize" button will be hit and the 100 grid boxes will be populated with random numbers from the tickets sold (1 - 1,000,000 if all tickets are sold for that draw). The random placement of different ticket numbers in the grid boxes will change ever 1 second until the "Stop" button is hit. Once the stop button is hit the 100 grid squares will have 100 different numbers in them.
• A traditional lottery ball tumbler will be present and will be spinning and it will have 100 different balls in it numbered 1-100. It will randomly dispense 10 different lottery balls.
• The 10 lottery ball numbers (1-100) will correspond with one of the 100 grid squares. The 10 winning grid squares will be highlighted. The lottery ticket numbers inside the 10 winning grid squares will be displayed. Those will be the 10 winning tickets for that drawing.
